How to Measure Poles and Rails
The EQUECENTRAL CAVALLETTI will take nearly any pole or rail suitable for work with horses.
The only difference is how it fastens.
|
FASTENING STANDARD POLES: Slip each end of your pole into a collar of the cavalletti. If it's a wood pole, fasten with wood screws. If it's a PVC pole, wood screws are acceptable but sheet metal screws are better. Drill two pilot holes in your PVC pole before you fasten it.
FASTENING OVERSIZE POLES: Turn the X standard to a side where there is no collar or other reinforcement. (Use one turn as pictured, keep both collars facing the same direction, and they will remain stackable.) Screw or bolt from the inside of the standards into the pole.

MEASURING YOUR POLE:
Measure the diameter of your pole. If it is not round, measure the widest
part.
If your pole is 3-1/2" or less
It will slip into the collar.
If your pole is over 3-1/2"
It is "oversize" and will fasten in a corner without a collar.
